Made from the love of a vintage clothing girl, Zapaka.com is here to serve like-minded retro and vintage-inspired fashion friends. But this oasis of retro delights did not spring up overnight ...

Looking back on the year 1968, when founder Mary Wang spent her days as a saleswoman looking for flea markets for vintage clothes on her weekends that she could only hire in her online store for fun.

Since real vintage items are not so easy to come by, Mary added some vintage-inspired dresses on a whim and before she could say, retro-tasty, orders began to flood her inbox! So Mary did what any enterprising girl would do.

While ZAPAKA GERMANY has many great retro designers, Mary had her own retro-inspired vision, which was reflected in the birth of the ZAPAKA GERMANY private label. This includes everything from beautiful floral chiffon dresses directly from "Mad Men" garden parties, to Hollywood swimsuits inspired by Hollywood stars, to black shaky dresses with appliqué details that Audrey Hepburn would sneak over herself.
